We are currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Manager to join and supportively work with our fantastic Topsport® and Topscape® team covering the northern region, this role is a mix of Hybrid working from home or from our many sites across the business with your 'home site' being at Tunstead House, close to Buxton in Derbyshire.
This role is easily commutable from Buxton, Sheffield, Stockport, Chesterfield, Manchester, Macclesfield, Congleton, Mansfield, Dronfield, Derby, Leek, Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility In the role of Technical Sales Manager, you will be proactive in establishing dedicated relationships with both our current and prospective future customers to grow the business, you will act as an interface between the business and the sports and landscape sectors.
You will also help to promote the sales of all Topsport® and Topscape® products.
Your aim will be to become a commercially astute, reliable and technical expert for the main product lines available under Tarmac Building Products – Topsport®.
Responsibilities of the Technical Sales Manager role (not exhaustive): You will be the first and main link between Tarmac and our customers, providing clear and principled direction which will enhance the customer experience and strengthen relationships Identifying market opportunities to grow sales of Topsport® and Topscape® product range Maximising Selling prices and to minimise purchase prices Ensure product compliance and facilitate the design of new products You will strategically manage a portfolio of sales to deliver against targeted sales volumes, price and profitability targets Identify opportunities to maximise our position through efficient and effective trading by keeping in contact with the main design and construction practices Provide the business and the associated departments with external market intel around product demand and interest to support the continual evolution of our strategy approach Be at the forefront of any significant projects on the horizon and devise an advance plan of action to maximise Tarmac potential at securing future sales In the role you will be in liaison with stakeholders across the business, ranging from – General Managers – Commercial Teams - Site Teams - Accounts – Technical – HR A car is available with this role, therefore you must hold a FULL UK manual car driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points and have the flexibility of Hybrid working The Ideal Candidate The Ideal Candidate for our role of Technical Sales Manager will ideally have the following: Experience: Demonstration of managing and developing customer accounts Commercial understanding of our business within sector Working cross-functionally to deliver customer requirements Be able to utilise commercial tools and forecasts in your normal working day Skills / Knowledge: Influencing skills, negotiation skills, change management skills An excellent understanding of the regional market Understanding of the competitive landscape High level of drive & determination to succeed Ability to identify customer needs and build solutions, along with comprehensive product knowledge Why Us In addition to the role of Technical Sales Manager we offer an extensive range of career development opportunities and industry-leading rewards, incentives, and benefits: Bonus scheme Enhanced holiday entitlement Contributory pension scheme Access to the Tarmac Reward website with discounts on retailers, holidays, etc.
