Purpose of the Role: You will focus on increasing Cathelco's market share, turnover, and profitability.
Success in this role will involve producing accurate, commercially aware quotations promptly, ensuring strong relationships with our customers, agents, and distributors.
You will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities, maximising customer interactions, and supporting an outstanding customer journey.
A solid sales background with a growth-oriented mindset and a drive to exceed sales targets is essential.
Key Responsibilities: Quotations & Pricing: Generate timely, accurate quotations for high volumes of products from our extensive portfolio, setting prices based on customer history and market conditions.
Sales Conversion: Negotiate effectively to convert quotes into orders, process orders when necessary, and provide technical, customized solutions based on customer requirements.
Customer Responsiveness: Maintain a target turnaround for quotations within 24 hours, 48 hours max.
Workload Priorities: A chieve quote volumes, target hit rates and boost upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
Data Integrity: Ensure accuracy in data entry (SAP and CRM) for seamless internal operations and optimal customer service.
Customer Experience: Foster positive interactions, upholding Cathelco's reputation and customer satisfaction.
Collaboration: Work closely with Business Development Managers, share leads, and ensure aligned strategies across teams.
Product Knowledge & Compliance: Maintain strong knowledge of Cathelco's offerings, legal and sanctions compliance, and adhere to the authorisations matrix for order accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills: Sales Experience: Minimum of 3 years in sales of engineering products, preferably in a fast-paced industry.
Customer Engagement: Proven experience managing agents, distributors, or direct customer accounts.
Sales Aptitude: Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a proactive, solution-oriented approach to customer needs.
Self-Motivation & Initiative: Energetic and inquisitive, with a natural drive for growth and a desire to exceed expectations.
Collaboration & Communication: Comfortable discussing project details over the phone, negotiating orders, and seeking guidance when necessary.
Product & Service Advocacy: Ability to convey key features and benefits of Cathelco's products and services effectively.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with SAP and CRM databases is advantageous.
