Racesafe is a leading UK equestrian brand specialising in protection and apparel.
From our Northamptonshire base, we develop and manufacture products worn by riders worldwide.
For over 50 years, we have been at the forefront of rider safety and performance.
For the next chapter, we have a passionate team that is growing in both size and ambition.

We're looking for an enthusiastic, talented designer who is eager to learn, to join our in-house creative team and become part of a very exciting time at Racesafe, bringing new products and innovations to market and expanding our range.

THE ROLE As a junior designer at Racesafe, you will play a key part of the team, working closely with the product team to assist in all aspects of the design process from ideation and concept generation, through to development and production implementation - to bring new products to market.

You will follow the vision set by the product team, whilst taking an active role in defining product details and collaborating with different departments including suppliers, our in-house production team, samplist machinists and manufacturers.
This role is for physical product design - not digital design / UI / UX.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Develop concepts from idea through to samples, prototypes, and production sign-off.
Collaborate across teams to assist in developing a range of equestrian products.
Managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, working in a fast - paced environment.
Support the wider creative team throughout the design process.
Opportunity to work closely with suppliers and manufacturers.
Awareness of the market, sportswear and industry trends.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE We are looking for a talented, creative designer, enthusiastic about equestrian sport and willing to learn.
The following skills and experience are desirable - A degree in Product, Industrial, or Textile Design (or a related design discipline).
Proficient using the Adobe suite, and ideally some experience in CAD software.
A portfolio demonstrating your experience, creativity, visual flair, attention to detail and ability to communicate in a clear and effective manner.
Creative mindset and willingness to learn across all aspects of the design process.
Industry experience in a related sector, showcased in your portfolio, is desirable.
Equestrian knowledge or background is desirable.
For the right candidate, there is some flexibility in the role and experience.
WHAT WE OFFER At Racesafe, you will be working as a key member of our small team, with great opportunities for development and a varied day-to-day role.The position is for a full time permanent role, based at our HQ office in Corby, Northamptonshire (Monday - Friday).
