Our client, an exciting start up within the AI and IT sector are seeking an IT Lead to join their expanding team.
Based in Oxford, on a hybrid basis this role is pivotal to the company's success.
This role will be taking charge of the company's cybersecurity, remote access needs and systems.
There will be a particular focus on physical networking, identity management and resilience.
Develop, propose and establish IT architecture, policies and procedures such as access, network, backup and restore as appropriate and support on systems implementation and management - Establish and process software updates for systems, configure network security and participate in all hardware and software evaluations - Maintain disaster recovery plan and ongoing monitoring of the appropriateness of the plan - Plan, direct, and oversee the company's IT requirements.
- Overseeing and implementing company cybersecurity processes - Responsible for upkeep and replenishment of company IT equipment - Provide ad-hoc first line support to company stakeholders.
- Provide training to non-technical audiences on procedures and policies to ensure IT and IP security.
Experience in scaling IT systems as a company grows (esp.
Strong networking skills; building-scale network planning and management - The ability to manage the security and resilience of the business, balancing robust design and defence in depth against the need for a low-friction user experience.
- Certification and experience in Windows client infrastructure & M365-based active directory, RedHat Linux and various other applications.
- 5 years of relevant experience in managing IT environments and overseeing staff - Linux client and server experience, particularly Debian-derived OS - Experience of containerisation (Docker, K8S) and cloud deployment - Modern site-site networking and remote access (e.g.
