Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the expanding Interventional Radiology Nursing Team, supporting the newly created Radiology Day Case Unit.You will join a team specialising in providing a dedicated pre and post procedure recovery area for our patients as part of the Targeted Lung Health Check programme.Candidates should be highly motivated, forward thinking, enthusiastic with a passion for interventional radiology, with excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing a quality service for our patients.The successful candidate will assist in the running of the Radiology day Case Unit and will be provided with a robust training programme that will enable you to rotate between all areas of interventional radiology, including Angiography, Ultrasound and CT allowing you develop specialist skills.
You will be at the forefront of providing cutting edge treatment to patients including assisting in intra-arterial thrombectomy and vascular emergency interventional procedures.The successful candidate would be expected to participate in the dedicated out of hours, on call service.
Main duties of the job The main duties of this post are as follows, but not limited to: Provide daily nursing advice and support to the radiology.

Job description Job responsibilities This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC Pin within the next 2-3 months.
Please note an NMC PRN Pin is not a full NMC Pin and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses and Midwives who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receive a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
