KS2 Intervention Teaching Assistant Blackburn (BB1) Start date: January 2025 Part-time (Monday, Wednesday, Friday 12.30pm-3.30pm) Rate of pay (£12.90-£13.50) A primary school in the Blackburn (BB1) area are currently recruiting a Key Stage 2 Intervention Teaching Assistant, the school is of average size and is easily accessible.
The Head Teacher is keen to welcome the successful applicant into the team to ensure pupils learning needs are being met after their break in education.
This is a part-time role and is currently temporary until the end of the academic year, however, there may be potential of a permanent role moving into the new academic year.
The Role Throughout the role you would be supporting as a general teaching assistant, however, would also spend the majority of your day leading Math's and English intervention sessions for small groups of pupils across KS2, outside of the classroom.
You would be working closely with the class teacher to ensure that all aspects of the National Curriculum are covered and appropriate targets are being set in order for the pupils to progress affectively.
For this role it is essential that you have a keen interest in the development of pupils and can uphold the schools ethos.
