BC Cancer is one of the world's renowned cancer organizations.
The Surrey Centre, located in Surrey, BC, offers a full range of services in Medical Oncology, Hematology, Radiation Oncology, Palliative care and support services such as Oral Oncology, Nutrition, Clinical Trials and Patient and Family Counseling.
As a Hematologist, you will use your extensive experience and qualifications to provide hemato-oncology consultation, patient care, teaching, and research with a focus on myeloid hematological malignancies.
We are looking for a hematologist with expertise in treating myeloid malignancies.
The successful candidate will be expected to be part of a collaborative care team committed to excellence, to participate in clinical, research, administrative and educational activities.
This role will be integrated into the Surrey Hematology group, which includes five hematologists with combined malignant myeloid practices at BC Cancer - Surrey and general hematology practices within Fraser Health, including call coverage responsibilities for the Fraser Health region.
You have obtained or are working towards Fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, along with a certificate of Special Competence in hematology or completed residency in hematology.
You must also be eligible for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia and meet the requirements of credentialing by the Professional Advisory Committee of BC Cancer.
