CHM Paediatric Medicines Expert Advisory Group (PMEAG)Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory AgencyPlease note applications must be submitted to ****** to be considered and not through NHS Jobs. The Commission on Human Medicines (CHM) is looking to appoint one expert member to the Paediatric Medicines Expert Advisory Group (PM EAG). The PM EAG is an independent advisory committee of the CHM that provides impartial advice to Ministers on matters relating to the regulation of medicines used for paediatric use, including all matters relating to the implementation of the Paediatric Regulation. Main duties of the jobExpertise Required: General Paediatrician The Member must be able to demonstrate the qualities, skills, and experience to meet all the essential criteria for appointment.

Person SpecificationExperienceThe Member must be able to demonstrate the qualities, skills, and experience to meet all the essential criteria for appointment.Experience in paediatric sub-specialty essential; orAbility to operate effectively on an expert scientific committee.Be a skilled communicator including providing written comments on papers and presentations.Be able to assimilate complex scientific information at short notice.Be willing to develop a working knowledge and understanding of UK medicines regulatory framework and procedures.Maintain strict confidentiality with respect to the work of the EAG.Be willing to declare conflicts of interest.Be committed to the values of selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, professionalism, impartiality, and consistency.Have previous or current experience of committee membership.Experience of a wide clinical skill set within a District General Hospital setting would be desirable for the General Paediatric post.Be recognised by their peers as a leader in their field e.g., national academies and Royal Colleges.Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency
