• Relevant experience of working in an enterprise risk management and internal audit role within a health or social care setting.
• Proven experience in a combination of auditing, compliance and enterprise risk management frameworks, using a number of different tools and systems.

• Solid understanding of internal controls, audit protocols, enterprise risk management frameworks, policies and procedures.
• Pragmatic, organised, flexible, confident in front of a senior audience, with strong time management skills and the ability to change focus at short notice.

To be responsible for advising on both strategic and operational risk exposure and use this knowledge to facilitate informed decision making and develop and contain a comprehensive view of risk-taking activities to support the organisation to embed and enhance their risk processes within day-to-day operational practice.
To plan, perform and communicate risk-based audit reviews of financial, operational, commercial and reputational compliance.
Providing cost-effective recommendations to mitigate the risks and control weaknesses identified during the audit review process.
To manage and maintain the corporate risk register and ensure that operational department's risk registers are regularly reviewed, updated and reported upwards.
