As a SEMH Teaching Assistant at Key Stage 4 in Salford, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies Supporting students with academic tasks and helping to develop their social and emotional skills Collaborating with teachers to differentiate instruction and adapt learning materials to meet the diverse needs of students Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents/carers Promoting positive behaviour and fostering a safe and supportive learning environment Requirements: Previous experience working with young people with SEMH needs is essential Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of young people Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of students Why Join Us?
