This is a hands-on role, working with a broad range of clients in the prepared category across branded and own label, global CPGs and start-ups.
You'll be expected to forensically understand their business, the categories they operate in and their relationship with Tesco.
You'll use this information to build robust and value-add propositions to monetize our data and insight.
Working with your customer success colleagues, you'll network deep within your client's business, understanding and building relationships with stakeholders and budget holders across disciplines.
Detailed knowledge of our tools and the value they can add will be critical as you consultatively sell to clients that we have a strong existing business with & those new to Tesco & data insights.
You will line manage 1 colleague, supporting their development through coaching, leading by example and best in class sales processes.
The ideal candidate will have either account management/category experience gained in a Tesco facing role, or a track record of success in the insights sales space.
Experience in the fresh/frozen category would be an advantage.
The successful applicant would be expected to demonstrate: Experience of using data to influence users and senior stakeholders.
A strong understanding of the UK retail market and the current challenges/opportunities.
Resilient, with a positive mindset, driven to find a new path when the first is blocked.
A relationship builder – comfortable adapting style to varied internal and external contacts, influencing based on their needs.
Highly numerate and displaying a structured approach to financial planning and reporting.
A great communicator, verbally and digitally, creating simple & actionable solutions.
Line management experience and evidence of developing their people.
