As an Industry Placement Assessor – Land Based, you play an important role in the success of our students through: Sourcing industry placements and arranging and carrying out health and safety checks.Ensuring employers are fully committed and aware of industry placement requirements and able to provide relevant supervision in a healthy and safe environment.Acting as industry placement lead for T-Level provision.Co-ordinating all aspects of the industry placement ensuring placements are relevant to occupational specialisms.Co-ordinating and providing workplace readiness activities for all land-based learners.Providing support to learners to ensure the successful and timely completion of their industry placement.Assisting the Head of Department in a range of activities that will contribute to improving curriculum development and excellenceAbout you:Ideal candidates will have: Good all-round level of education to include Maths and English to GCSE (Grade A – C) or equivalent level (level 2)A1 Assessor qualification or Training, Assessment and Quality Assurance (TAQA) Award or willingness to work towardsMinimum of level 3 in the relevant sector areaKnowledge of recent developments in the provision of industry placementsKnowledge & understanding of vocational qualifications and in particular T LevelsKnowledge of the land-based sector and the range of opportunities availableRecent relevant commercial or industrial experience within the land-based sectorThe ability to manage own diary to ensure learners are seen on a regular basis in line with Education Skills Funding Agency ESFA & college guidelinesAbility to travel across a geographical area Interviews to be held on 10th September 2024Successful candidates must also be able to demonstrate alignment to our organisationalVISION values: Valuing Teamwork - We are one team who by working together can achieve great things, respecting the opinion and valuing the contribution each of us makes.Improving Continuously - We challenge ourselves to always do better by trying new things, sharing knowledge, reflecting on practice and learning from others.Student Centred - At our heart is always doing what is best for our students.
