Industrial Sewing Machinist

Driver Hire Teesside are currently looking for an Industrial Sewing Machinist on behalf of a well established client based in Billingham.
The ideal candidate will be working as an Industrial Sewing Machinist.
Experience in this role would give you a huge advantage in the application process, however, training will be provided to the ideal candidate.
Duties include but are not limited to; Maintaining the embroidery and sewing machines daily Check off stock and prepare orders to go onto the machines, ensuring it matches internal paperwork Setting up the machine with the correct threads and sampling Run jobs on the machines ensuring accuracy Trim and pack finished garments Keep work area clean and tidy Highlight any issues with stock shortages at the earliest opportunity Manage any consumables needed for producing garments Complete jobs to the best of your ability and be as accurate as possible Print transfer garments as required, including weeding and masking Any other reasonable request as part of a small team Preferred skills; Ideally have previous industrial sewing machine operating experience or knowledge of industrial sewing machines Work well on your own and as part of a team A good eye for detail to spot mistakes or issues Good organisational and time management Flexibility according to task Must be confident and have attention to detail This is an ongoing temporary position, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Hours are 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with excellent pay rates of £12ph and £18ph for overtime.
