Distributor Account Manager – Industrial Technical Sales My client is a market leader in the control valve market manufacturing a range of specialist valves for the cutting and welding industry.
With a sizable and growing distributor base they now require a dedicated distributor account manager to manage and grow the distributor customers across the UK plus some key national accounts.
The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will be a graduate and have a technical sales background who excels in distributor management.
This role is very much that of an ambitious farmer and hunter, and the ideal candidate will be able to build deep relationships with distributors and national accounts and create growth buy appointing new distributors.
The ideal candidate will most likely be a technical distributor manager already and be able to demonstrate how they have previously generated sales growth.
7 to 10 years.
The company is looking for a self-driven, results-oriented individual with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high achievement and strategic business success.
They will be covering the whole of the UK with occasional trips to Ireland so it is important they are a good planner of time and resource and are able to maximise productivity.
Communication is key and the ideal candidate will be comfortable presenting and selling to senior company contacts, technical specification engineers and c-suite.
A full, clean driving license is required and they must live in the UK and be eligible to work in the UK.
Responsibilities: Sell products to distributors and grow the territory Plan and prioritise personal sales activities.
Plan and prioritise distributor visits and organise / lead training activities Build, agree and execute account plans.
Focus on customer satisfaction, product excellence and quality.
Plan and manage the territory according to an agreed market development strategy and organise marketing activity.
Manage product portfolio, pricing and margins according to agreed aims.
Support and drive company marketing activities, e.g.
product launches, promotions, advertising and exhibitions.
Build the company brand by honoring its core values.
Maintain and develop a relevant internal network to optimise the quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
Use and maintain a CRM system.
Experience 5 plus years Technical Key Account Management and Distributor Management Technical product sales into the cutting and welding industry advantageous Valve experience an advantage Package £55k to £58k basic plus bonus (up to 20%) Company car or £500pm allowance Laptop, Phone Contributary Pension 25 days holiday
