As a Windows Active Directory Architect, you'll be instrumental in designing, documenting, and supporting deploying secure and scalable Active Directory (AD) solutions that integrate with various MoD platforms and applications.
The Role: You'll be at the heart of technical leadership, working within a secure environment to guide enterprise-level projects focused on Active Directory, identity and access management, and system management.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll connect the dots between networking, storage, and virtualization, ensuring every solution aligns with the larger architectural vision and delivers seamless, integrated results.
Essential Requirements: Clearance : Sole British UK National with SC or DV (Developed Vetting) clearance.
Active Directory (AD) Expertise : Advanced experience in AD design, deployment, management, and administration, including tools for monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for enterprise workloads.
Security and Certificates : Strong understanding of Windows security (permissions, roles, threat mitigation) and AD certificate management, including PKI and security protocols.
Deployment & Integration : Skilled in planning and executing secure AD deployments and integrating AD with enterprise applications, ensuring compatibility, performance, and security.
Microsoft 365 & Compliance : Proficient in configuring and maintaining Microsoft 365 security and compliance settings related to AD and identity management.
Operating Systems & Endpoint Protection : Proficiency in Windows 10/11, including endpoint security management with tools like BitLocker.
Deployment & System Management Tools : Experienced in Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) for streamlined Windows deployment and SCCM for device, software, and compliance management.
Virtualization & Automation : Knowledgeable in VMware virtualization within Windows/AD environments and proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation of AD management tasks.
Certification : Holds a relevant Microsoft certification (e.g., Identity and Access Administrator, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator).
