HR / Payroll Officer Salary: £35,000 per annum Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm (possibility of a 4-day work week) 37.5hours Onsite Perm Role Job Overview We are seeking an experienced HR/Payroll Officer to join our client's team in Thirsk, England.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both human resources and payroll management, with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities HR Management: Oversee all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
Provide guidance on employment law and ensure compliance.
Manage employee performance and development programs.
Payroll Management: Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing.  Ensure accurate and timely payroll data entry and processing.
Handle employee payroll queries and resolve issues promptly.
Coordinate with the finance department for payroll reconciliation.
Oversee compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
Qualifications and Skills Proven experience in HR and payroll management roles.
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and payroll regulations.
Proficiency in payroll software systems.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
