Job Title: History Teacher Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire Pay Rate: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience) Contract Type: Fixed term, Full-time Start Date: Immediate Are you passionate about bringing history to life for students and inspiring them to explore the past?

About the Role As a History Teacher , you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons in History.
You will work closely with other staff to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment, helping students to develop both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities of History Teacher Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards and engage students in learning.
Teach History lessons to students aged 11-16 .
Provide one-on-one and small group instruction tailored to students' needs, ensuring they receive the attention and support they need to succeed.
Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure that each student is progressing towards their goals.
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student's education and well-being.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.
Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate students, catering to different learning styles and preferences.
Keep detailed records of each student's progress, including assessments, observations, and feedback, and communicate this information to parents, support staff, and other relevant parties.
Requirements of History Teacher Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Prior experience in teaching History is essential.
Excellent communication skills are crucial for effectively interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
Demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain strong, supportive relationships with all members of the school community.
Show a deep commitment to helping students succeed, exhibiting patience and empathy in interactions.
Relevant qualifications or training in History education (desirable but not essential).
