Salary: £120-150 a day or paid to scaleaccording to duties Hours: Part-time Contract: Temporary Location: Bath-based Secondary School   What this school are looking for: Most importantly, you should be enthusiastic, engaging, and passionate about teaching young people History.
Relevant experience teaching 11 – 16 year-olds within the last 2 years.
A professional manner and a flexible attitude to working and timetable changes.
Strong behaviour management and the ability to implement schools' behaviour polices is also essential.
Job Description: Delivering engaging and creative history lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
Supporting, advising, guiding, and supervising students throughout the school day.
Supporting classes in the absence of the timetabled staff/teacher.
Delivering the cover work established in the absence of the teacher.
Assist in some aspects of lesson planning if required.
To have a primary focus on maintaining good order and ensuring students are on task so that learning can take place.
Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Bachelor's degree in History or Humanities related field.
Recent experience teaching History or Humanities at secondary school level.
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate that is registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one.
What you'll need to succeed: Strong behaviour/classroom management.
Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
The ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.
