Churchview is a unique specialist service that provides a Short BreaksService to support young people (over 18 years old) and adults with learningdisabilities in Worcestershire.
Theservice supports individuals who require nursing care, are assessed as havingcomplex health needs and also supports individuals presenting with behavioursthat may challenge.
We are looking for dynamic and motivated Care Assistant to join theteam.
The post-holder will support otherteam members in delivering a clinically effective service.
The aim is for service users to feel welcome,safe, confident, and keen to stay, thus providing a positive experience for allconcerned.
This post is for 28 hours over 4 days in the week and the shifts patternsare 7-1400, or .
You will need good verbal and written communication skills to utilise carenotes, feedback to families and handovers to the staff team.
We will support you to gain knowledge of care plans and aspects of the job role.
We would love if you have experience with supporting people with learning Disabilities but would be more than happy to support anyone who was new to this field and wanted to gain experience.

Main duties of the job This role at Churchview will include admitting anddischarging service users and their belonging.
Regular communications withfamilies and other professionals involved in their care such as day centrestaff, college staff, GP, and Community Learning Disability Nurses.
You will berequired to make beds, do daily tasks such as wash bedding, clothes, shop forfood, prepare meals and support service users with meals.
You will be requiredto deliver the highest standards and quality outcomes possible, ensuring thatthe service user is at the heart of your care and decisions.
This is a hands-on role, and the candidate will be requiredto support service users with personal care tasks and moving and handlingaspects of care alongside medicines management.

The candidate will be supported by Band 2 and 3 Health CareAssistants, Qualified Nurses, a Deputy Manager and Churchview Replacement Caremanager to deliver person centred care which involves regular reviews withfamilies, ensuring the needs of the induvial are at the heart of the careprovided.

GCSE Grade A-C, NVQ2) in Care or A good standard of general education to GCSE level and will be expected to undertake the relevant Level 2 qualification on appointment to post Will be expected to meet the Care Certificate standards within 12 weeks of commencing employment with the Trust I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
