In light of national policy and due to the needs ofthe business it may be necessary for the Partnership to alter the opening hoursof the surgeries.
This could incorporatedifferent opening hours and weekend working which may effect when you arerequired to work.
The post holder isexpected to be flexible and accommodating, following consultation, in terms ofany changes to operating times in the future.To undertakeappropriate tasks and support the larger MMP healthcare teamTo undertakeBlood Pressure monitoring in accordance with MMP protocolsTo perform ECGson patients as requested To carry outphlebotomy services to patients in MMP surgeries across Birmingham, at patientshomes and in care homes To ensure thatblood samples taken are accurately and legibly labelled, correct bottles areused and that blood samples are transported to designated collection points inline with MMP Health and Safety procedures Provide supportat practice level to nursing and clinical staff, in particularly complex casesTo workeffectively with other healthcare professional as an integrated teamTo provide basicfirst aid to phlebotomy patients as required as in accordance with guidelinesand proceduresTo ensure a goodrapport with patients to alleviate anxiety ensuring they are relaxed and atease to undergo proceduresTo ensure thefollowing MMP Policies are followed: Infection Control Policy, Clinical WasteDisposal and Sharps Policy, Needle stick injury PolicyAcknowledge thatpatients have right to privacy, dignity and confidentiality, showing dueregard to patients property.
To provide coverfor team members on annual leave, off sick or study leave to ensure continuityof the service.

To attend teammeetings for information exchange and service updates The post holderwill be asked to work at any MMP site in line with service needs.
Any other duties,as requested, compatible with the post which may arise from time to time.

Participate in theappraisal, clinical supervision and personal development planning process andensure that their own professional development needs are met.
Participate inthe induction of staff by demonstrating own role to new or less experiencedcolleagues.
