Due to increased project requirements, our construction client based in Armagh, have a requirement for a Health and Safety Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis.
Reporting to Health and Safety Manager, you will support them in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all construction sites.
The role involves assisting in the implementation of safety procedures, conducting site inspections, maintaining records, and promoting a culture of safety awareness within the organization.
Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Monitor and report on site compliance with health and safety requirements.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
Assist in developing risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
Participate in internal audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Support the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
Assist in compiling reports, identifying root causes, and recommending preventative measures.
Assist in delivering toolbox talks and safety training sessions.
Help promote a culture of safety by providing guidance and resources to employees.
Maintain accurate health and safety records, including audits, training logs, and incident reports.
Support the preparation of reports for management and external agencies as required.
Ensure all safety documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
Essential Skills and Qualifications Previous experience working within an administration capacity in a construction environment.
Knowledge of relevant construction health and safety legislation.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite.
