MacGregor Black are partnering with an FMCG business, on the search for a Head of Talent Acquisition .
This is a permanent role based in West Midlands.
The Head of Talent Acquisition is responsible for developing and implementing the talent acquisition strategy to support our company's growth across all levels of the business—operational, corporate, and leadership.
This role is both strategic and operational, requiring a leader who can not only design high-level talent strategies but also roll up their sleeves to ensure efficient execution.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in talent acquisition, employer branding, and fostering relationships with internal stakeholders, including hiring managers and external partners (such as recruitment agencies).
You will be a key driver in enhancing our employer brand and ensuring that we attract top talent across various functions and regions.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a global talent acquisition strategy that aligns with the business's growth objectives, ensuring the attraction of diverse talent across operational, corporate, and leadership roles.
Collaborate with senior leadership and HR teams to align recruitment strategies with overall business objectives.
Lead employer branding initiatives, positioning the company as an employer of choice in the global market.
Design and implement workforce planning initiatives to ensure proactive talent acquisition for future business needs.
Analyse industry trends and workforce data to continuously improve talent strategies and stay ahead of the competition.
Oversee and manage the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience from sourcing to onboarding.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers, ensuring a collaborative and consultative approach to recruitment.
Establish and manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and partners, ensuring that service delivery meets business expectations.
Lead and mentor a high-performing talent acquisition team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
Ensure all recruitment operations are compliant with legal and ethical standards and diversity & inclusion practices.
Partner with key stakeholders and hiring managers to understand business needs and define talent requirements.
Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing insight on talent acquisition trends, best practices, and market challenges.
Serve as the face of the talent function in cross-functional meetings, presentations, and discussions.
Lead initiatives that strengthen the company's EVP and support recruitment marketing efforts.
Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to build and promote employer branding campaigns across digital and offline channels.
Drive DE+I initiatives within recruitment strategies to ensure the business attracts diverse talent.
Use data and analytics to measure and optimize talent acquisition efforts, reporting on key metrics such as time-to-fill, quality of hire, and cost-per-hire.
Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership on recruitment performance, market trends, and challenges.
What are we looking for?
10+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with 5+ years in a leadership role, ideally within a global, fast-paced, and complex environment.
Strong understanding of operational and corporate recruitment, with the ability to recruit for a diverse range of functions and roles.
Proven experience in developing and executing talent strategies that align with broader business goals.
Strong track record in employer branding and recruitment marketing, with a creative and innovative approach to attracting talent.
Demonstrated ability to foster strong relationships with hiring managers and other key internal stakeholders.
Ability to work with and manage external recruitment agencies and other third-party vendors.
Experience in developing diversity and inclusion recruitment strategies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to make informed decisions.
Experience working in manufacturing, operational or other complex industries is a plus, though not essential.
Flexibility to travel to HO location once a week and occasionally to other company sites across the UK.
Salary up to £80k + benefits.
