Head of Software Engineering - Telco Client - 1 day a week onsite in Reading - £90-95k Areti has partnered with a leading Telco who are looking to disrupt the market working in their Change function.
Role: Head of Software Engineering Salary Range: £90-95k + £6k car allowance Benefits: Healthcare, Life and Income insurance, Competitive A/L Location: Office in Reading - 1 day a week onsite Experience/Skillsets: • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a leadership role in Systems Engineering or a related field, preferably in the telecommunications sector.
• Strong technical background in telecommunications systems and infrastructure, including OSS and BSS - ESSENTIAL!
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards, protocols, and technologies, such as Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, APIs, and Microservice Architectures.
• Develop and implement ITIL-based change management practices • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, • Bright, highly self-motivated, and driven whilst being analytical and inquisitive, with excellent attention to detail • Have the ability to multi-task and stay organised in a dynamic work environment • Be credible, confident, and articulate, with excellent communication and presentation skills and the gravitas to deliver ideas clearly and concisely to internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority • Experience implementing multi-modal generative AI to increase automation would be advantageous.
• Experience in Azure cloud and other virtualization environments.
