Role overview The Head of Social Media Engagement will play a pivotal role in expanding Ipsos' brand presence, audience reach and impact as well as building our profile with younger audiences.
This role demands a strategic and creative individual with a deep understanding of social media dynamics and a passion for crafting engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences.
The successful candidate will be a data-driven leader, adept at leveraging analytics to optimise campaigns and demonstrate impact.
Ipsos UK offers a hybrid working environment, 3 days in the office and working the rest from home.
What will I be doing?
Developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy: This includes identifying and building key target audiences (with a particular focus on better engaging Gen Z audiences), with a content strategy appropriate to each social media platform, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), and establishing a content calendar aligned with the overall marketing and business objectives of the organisation.
Overseeing content creation and curation: Manage the development of high-quality, engaging content across various formats that caters to the target audience's interests and needs.
Ensure content adheres to brand guidelines and resonates with the organisation's voice and values.
Campaign management: Plan and execute targeted social media campaigns to promote research findings, industry events, thought leadership pieces, and other organisational initiatives.
Collaborate with the wider business to surface, suggest and schedule content, effectively managing competing priorities.
Track campaign performance and make data-driven adjustments to optimise results.
Developing and managing an employee advocacy programme: Develop and implement a programme that empowers employees to share company content and become brand ambassadors on social media.
This includes creating engaging content, providing training and resources, and tracking programme effectiveness.
Social listening and monitoring: Monitor social media channels for mentions of the company, industry trends, competitor activity, and relevant conversations.
Analyse this data to identify opportunities and inform content strategy alongside flagging and managing reputational risks.
Analytics and reporting: Track and analyse key social media metrics (engagement, reach, impressions, conversions, to assess campaign effectiveness, demonstrate impact, and identify areas for improvement.
Regularly report on social media performance to key stakeholders.
Website management: Oversee the company website, ensuring its content is up-to-date, relevant, and engaging.
Collaborate with other teams to maintain website functionality, optimise user experience, and ensure brand consistency.
Mentoring and collaborating: Mentor and partner with marcomms and design colleagues and spokespeople, providing guidance, support and development.
Liaise with key stakeholders in the global marcomms team to share best practice and represent the best interests of the UK and Ireland region on social media and web projects.
Staying up to date with industry trends: Continuously research and evaluate emerging social media platforms, tools, and best practices to ensure Ipsos remains at the forefront of social media innovation.
Supporting CEO's social media presence: Collaborate with the CEO to develop and implement a social media strategy that enhances their personal brand and aligns with the organisation's overall messaging.
This may include creating content, managing social media accounts, and providing guidance on social media best practices.
What do I need to bring with me?
Qualification in marketing, communications, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Proven track record of success in developing and implementing social media strategies in B2B organisations.
Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms and best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and engaging content.
Strong analytical skills, with experience using social media analytics tools to track performance and generate insights.
Experience managing social campaigns and demonstrating ROI and impact.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong project management and organisational skills.
Experience developing and managing employee advocacy programmes is highly desirable.
