PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:The Head of Premium Sales will lead the NEC Group's hospitality sales function for the NEC Group arenas, Utilita Arena Birmingham and BP Pulse Live, which the NEC Group operate as well as for external clients in sport, music, events and entertainment.Both venues offer premium experiences for individual and corporate clients for a range of shows including music, comedy, sports and other live entertainment.The successful candidate will take responsibility for the effective delivery of revenue targets for annual memberships and event-day packages through sales strategies, as well as manage a team of premium sales executives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:• Create and deliver a tangible sales strategy for achieving Premium revenues.• Lead the Premium sales function for the NEC Group.• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual KPIs in conjunction with the Director of Partnerships and Premium for NEC Group arenas• Work with the Director of Partnerships and Premium to create and keep up to date/manage a Group-wide inventory of Premium assets.• To manage and lead the sales team to ensure their KPI's are achieved • Secure and host regular face to face meetings with HNWIs and companies to achieve new business sales• To develop and deliver the sales strategies for revenue, profit and market penetration of new business across the NEC Group venues.• Create pricing strategies that maximise revenue opportunities across the Group's Premium assets• Promote an interactive working relationship both throughout the department and with external departments and contacts, in order to ensure new business is maximised.• Identify potential new revenue streams, producing business plans and proposals for new business opportunities.• Building collaborative business relationships that further our objective of developing new business.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:• Solid experience in Premium sales from a media, sports/entertainment or B2B industry background.• Experience of successfully leading teams and projects • Proven track record in successful sales to senior decision makers• Ability to develop and manage budgets and targets effectively• Experience of utilising market research techniques and implementation of market research results within Premium sales strategies• The understanding and development of new business development plans• An identifiable knowledge of sports, venue and events Premium industries • Experience with producing sales presentations and presenting to senior management and business leaders• Experience in all aspects of customer relationship management maintaining customer confidence and account management.• A track record in developing productive working relationships with colleagues, industry peers and clientsWHAT WE OFFER:• Competitive salary• 25 days annual leave rising to 26 after one year plus all UK bank holidays• Free Onsite parking• Free lunch when office based or on site• Potential home working options for part of the week• Pension matching up to 7%• We will provide you with a Life Assurance cover if you are actively contributing to the NEC group personal pension plan and have joined at the first opportunity or within 12 months of becoming first eligible• Private Medical Insurance funded by the company• Employee Assistance Programme• Dental, Cash Health and Holiday Buy flexible option• Exclusive Discounts and many more great benefitsThe NEC Group is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
