Due to new contract wins, this position will allow the successful candidate to lead, develop and grow our Industrial Inspection Service business activities.
This role requires coordination between clients, internal teams and external suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of inspection services, compliance with regulatory standards and adherence to contractual obligations.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, an understanding of industrial inspection processes (ISO/IEC 17020 standards) and the ability to manage contracts, timelines and client relationships.
As our Head of Industrial Inspections, you will be responsible for: Leading contract review, negotiation, and management for industrial inspections, ensuring all obligations, timelines, and deliverables are met.
Acting as the primary client contact throughout projects, from contract initiation to final report delivery.
Coordinating with legal, procurement, and internal teams to manage contract changes, resolve issues, and facilitate effective communication with clients and partners.
Managing project risks, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
Monitoring project budgets, preparing financial reports, and ensuring timely invoicing in line with contract terms.
Maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, inspection logs, and close-out documents.
To be successful in this role, you should have: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
5 years of experience, preferably within industrial inspections or the engineering sector.
Strong knowledge of industrial inspection processes and relevant standards (ISO/IEC 17020, ISO 9001, ISO 45001).
Expertise in contract management, budgeting, and negotiation, with experience working alongside legal teams.
Excellent project management skills and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a background in managing cross-functional teams and suppliers.
Attention to detail, with a focus on compliance and quality assurance.
Desirable knowledge of industrial sectors, including: Fire Risk Assessments & Strategies, Asbestos Surveys, Legionella Testing, Radon Sampling, Health & Safety Inspections, DSEAR, Audit & Assurance, Light, Air, and Noise Assessments.
