Details of the offer

Are you fascinated about Space and Space propulsion?
Do you have experience developing Propulsion Systems for Satellites?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for senior CP Systems Engineer to lead the propulsion system of a new ESA Science mission.
Come and join one of the only few propulsion providers with dedicated vacuum-level testing facilities for both, Chemical (up to 20 N) and Electric (up to 3/7 kW) thrusters.
RESPONSIBILITIES: As well as working on a variety of water-electrolysis and CP systems, you will lead systems engineering aspects of few propulsion solutions between 10 mN to 400 N. Specifically, over the next 18-24 months, you will perform propulsion engineering of a brand-new and Fast-class ESA Science mission, and will work closely with different propulsion (COTS / TRL9) providers (both Electric and Chemical) in order to prepare the final solution to the Customers and ESA Technical teams.
(i.e.
Hydrazine vs. green vs. Electric) Take responsibility for the chemical propulsion equipment selected for the subsystem i.e monopropellant/bi-propellant thrusters, liquid propellant tanks, fluidic components and technical follow-up with suppliers for the equipment qualification and procurement.
You will work with senior Propulsion Engineers from ESA establishing the final specifications and configuration of the propulsion system of the mission.
You will report directly to the CEO and/or CTO.
You will work closely with the CTO in our own water-based electrolysis propulsion solutions, in close collaboration with the Head of Electric Propulsion (EP), since we are developing dual/hybrid-based solutions (CP and EP) for large spacecraft (>5 kW).
You will work closely with the rest of the CP and Mechanical team on the development of our H2/O2 20 and 400 N thrusters.
Provide technical input to future propulsion developments and contribute to continuous improvement of our products, systems and processes.
You will work in a multicultural team, developing the ongoing and future CP projects, reporting directly to the CTO on this.
Prepare debriefs to the CTO and CEO on ongoing CP developments Be part of the product strategy roadmap in close collaboration with the CEO, CTO and Head of EP.

Minimum 3 years of experience working on CP systems.
Minimum 2 years of experience in design, development, assembly, and/or testing of CP components such as valves, thrusters, regulators, transducers, etc.
.
Minimum 2 years of experience with hydrazine / storable chemical propellant systems or components.
Understanding of testing requirements of CP systems w.r.t to EQM, QM, PFM and/or FM .
Experience with developing and producing space hardware (prototypes/breadboards okay, but also qualification and flight models).
Have been involved in the requirements definition and subsequent validation of CP systems.
Have been involved in the test campaigns of CP subsystems.
Have knowledge of how the propulsion system design can affect and drive the thermal, structural and mechanical design of a spacecraft.
Able to communicate effectively and professionally with technical customers and other experts to produce, challenge and verify technical, functional, and test requirements and manage expectations.
Able to work with tight deadlines and with several projects in parallel.
Excellent technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
