The successful candidate will be responsible for all finance related matters and will support the Managing Director and other Heads of Department in the day to day management of the company, and the formulation and implementation of the overall strategic long term business plan.
The opportunityManage the finance team in the execution of their dutiesWork as part of the senior management team to co-ordinate and efficiently manage all business activities and strategic planning/decision makingManage the budget and rolling forecast process with a focus on quality of information, including budget setting, performing periodic reviews and proper detailed deviation analysis with advice and corrective actions where appropriateProvide general financial advice, information, and support to line managers/employees within the companyReview, control and manage the businesses cost base, developing cost models with respective departments to create a baseline of measurementOversee and support in the preparation of the consolidated monthly management accounts, in addition to performing detailed reviews of periodic resultsPrepare and lead monthly and periodic result reviews with Head OfficeEnsure timely and accurate periodic and year-end reporting under IAS, IFRS and UK GAAPManage cashflow and NWC improvement initiativesEngage in risk management, particularly mitigating/hedging of foreign exchange rate risksDrive the development of the local IT system, taking a leading role in the implementation of a new ERP system (MS Dynamics 365)Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholdersEnsure an adequate Internal Control System and efficient Policies and ProceduresOversee internal and external legal and financial auditsFinancial management of high value contractsEnsure adequate coverage of business risks in accordance with corporate guidelinesMentor, direct, motivate, supervise and monitor all members of the allocated teams to ensure high performance levels are attainedBe the driving force behind initiating and implementing efficiency and process improvements within the Finance and Controlling function, in addition to contributing to and supporting similar initiatives in the overall organisation (LEAN)Background and ExperienceQualified AccountantExperience working in complex engineering service or project organization (or similar) at senior levelExperience and open-minded attitude to change and change managementKnowledge of IFRSERP experience (SAP or MS Dynamics)Strong problem solving and organisational skills and proven ability to prioritise responsibilities and processesStrong leadership and commercial knowledgeExcellent analytical skillsEffective and confident communicatorAbility to coordinate and manage multiple improvement initiatives at onceTeam player at all levels, self-starter with a hands-on attitudeWhat's on OfferAttractive salaryBonusRange of other benefits – private medical, life insuranceAttractive pension contribution
