As part of our commitment to ensuring that we give the best service to our clients we're looking to recruit a new Head of Construction to lead our teams in the South.
What will you be doing? Reporting to the regional Head of Delivery, as the Head of Construction you'll be responsible for overseeing, planning, scheduling, building, installation and corrective action programmes across all products for high value contracts. You'll be required to lead, and develop the construction team, creating and communicating a clear vision for the function, whilst building and maintaining strong relationships with clients (councils), subcontractors and suppliers, managing escalated project risks and challenges. Proactively identifying and developing new construction opportunities and ways of working, in partnership with the Head of Delivery.
You'll ensure Construction Design Management regulations (CDM, 2015) are complied with at every stage of the build process as well as Health and Safety and industry standards and oversee Capital stock, ensuring systems and records on all products are updated accurately and within agreed timeframes. Responsibilities & Accountabilities: Deliver specialist project builds for the South region on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets and resource allocation. Carry out regular quality inspections and audits - identify issues and manage remedial actions – and monitor stock. Oversee administration including but not limited to: work orders, purchase orders, build packs, permits, traffic management etc. Continually identify and / or develop out-sourced or sub-contracting resources to meet regional requirements. Manage the regional Construction budget through accurate forecasting on a monthly basis. Manage project budgets (in line with Capital Expenditure Request (CER) Ensure all products have up to date building and installation specifications, manuals, user guides and technical information. Ensure Clear Channel's H&S policy is always implemented / maintained and Traffic Management requirements met when building / installing assets. Knowledge, Experience and Attributes: Foundation Degree or Bachelor's Degree / Master's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field. Strong team leadership and interpersonal skills. Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale construction projects. Excellent knowledge and understanding of CDM and Traffic Management regulations. Membership of professional institution - such as the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or the Association for Project Management (APM) Proficiency in project management software.
