Feba UK has a bold vision to grow its ministry and broadcast the gospel message to more people in the world's hardest-to-reach places. We want to see more members of the UK Church get behind this Kingdom work and are looking for someone to lead our communications and engagement initiatives.
Our new Head of Communications and Engagement will oversee a growing team who serve a long-established group of supporters and will launch new activities to involve more people in supporting our mission. These relationships are all vitally important to us; prayer, gifts of money, time and other talents are all part of God's provision to enable people in hard-to-reach places to hear the gospel through radio and other audio media.
This is a hybrid role, with a required two days a week in the Steyning office.
Key responsibilities The primary purpose of this role is to lead on Strategic Outcome Three, described above "Kingdom-hearted people are gathered….". This includes:
Vision and strategy: Ensure that all of Feba UK's communications and engagement work is in line with Strategic Outcome Three by leading the development and execution of a high impact and cost-effective communications and engagement strategy. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), alongside the CEO, Head of International Ministry and Head of Finance and Financial Strategy, contribute to the wider strategy, vision, and major initiatives of Feba UK. Communications leadership: Oversee the planning, creation and dissemination of Feba UK's communications across a range of digital and non-digital platforms: print, emails, social media and churches/events. Ensure excellent and responsive supporter relationships. Develop and shape Feba UK's brand and visual identity. Project manage strategic communications projects (e.g., website redevelopment) and manage external suppliers. Put in place strategies to deal with crisis communications and manage the communications and engagement budget, allocating resources strategically. Team leadership: The Head of Communications and Engagement leads a team of three other members: Supporter Relations, Supporter Communications and Supporter Engagement Officers. Provide leadership and management so that each member is empowered, confident to take initiative and realizing their God-given potential. Church engagement and support: Lead Feba UK's efforts to inspire the UK Church to world mission including taking a lead as one of the organisation's key spokespeople to the UK Church. FEBC representation: Develop and maintain relationships with the FEBC network of sister organisations as appropriate. Spiritual leadership: Support the CEO and the wider SLT in fostering a Christ-centred organisational culture that ensures prayer is central to all our work including upholding our regular rhythm of prayer and that our leadership and service springs out of our relationship with, and identity in Jesus.
