As Head of Commercial Pricing, you'll lead the development of competitive pricing strategies, align product and service pricing into cohesive propositions, and drive the transition to a new pricing system.
With a focus on process optimisation, data-driven insights, and cross-functional collaboration, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our business.
Join us to lead change and drive success!WHAT YOU WILL DO: Liaise with Sales team to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Lead and manage the pricing team.
Analyse customer and market trends to enhance strategic positioning and profitability.
Work closely with procurement cost controllers to track cost movements and accurately report on revenue & margins.
Analyse impact of change requests ( spec variations) and evaluate the margin impact and potential incremental volume.
Ensure quotes and other pricing mechanisms are filed, documented and reconciled with customer order documentation.
Develop and proactively update product range standards and option packs to enable efficient, accurate and timely proposals to customer enquiries.
Develop standards and options pack pricing proposals for new products and services as required.
Collaborate with Product, Sales and Finance team on important pricing decisions.
Produce high quality presentation material to support analysis and strategic future decision making Develop strategic pricing policies for future growth aligned to market trends.
Work closely with the configuration team to proactively develop the product range with standards and options.
Track and report on all stages of the quote to delivery process.
Report on order intake and firm orders book by model, market and customer – showing number of vehicles, revenue and margin Reporting of opportunities in the discovery to won / lost phase, including projected volumes, revenues and margins.
Work closely with the customer spec team to improve the order to delivery efficiency.
Ensure robust library of proposals, pricing models and order confirmations for audit and other purposes.
Any other reasonable management request that ensures the harmony and smooth running of the department.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Ideally degree-qualified in Business Administration or a similar field with membership of a relevant Professional Organisation/Institution.
In depth knowledge and experience of the UK bus Operators and wider industry is preferred.
An understanding of pricing systems such as Tacton, Anaplan, SOFON and SAP is preferred.
Effective leadership skills to coach and mentor a team.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide insight using numerical data.
Ability to manage workload and prioritise accordingly.
Thorough understanding of bus product types and familiar with pricing concepts such as standards and option packs.
Possess attention to detail and a 'right first time' approach.
Strong interpersonal skills and high level of emotional intelligence, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Enthusiastic and organised approach to working.
Commercial awareness of both the business and the marketplace.
Sound financial experience and commercial integrity.
Complex problem-solving ability.
Effective decision-making ability.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with an excellent grasp of Excel.
