We're looking for a Head of Account Development, LIONS Advisory to join our team in London as part of our Commercial function.
Your Role: You will be responsible for driving the growth, retention, and strategic development of client accounts.
You will focus on fostering strong client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional Advisory services. The role combines strategic planning, team leadership, and hands-on account management to expand the business and meet revenue goals. The expectation will be for this role to have a symbiotic relationship with the Head of New Business.
This role is a linchpin for both the client experience and the business's financial health, combining strategic vision with hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities Account Growth & Expansion:Develop and implement account strategies that focus on deepening client relationships. This should be done alongside the Head of New Business.Identify and capitalize on upselling and cross-selling opportunities, introducing clients to additional advisory services or solutions.Leverage insights from market trends, client feedback, and competitor activities to propose innovative solutions.Strategic Account Planning:Conduct regular reviews of account performance, client feedback, and future opportunities.Develop comprehensive account plans with clear objectives, timelines, and measurable outcomes.Identify potential risks in client relationships and proactively address them.Ensure compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.Client Retention and Satisfaction:Proactively manage client relationships to ensure retention through exceptional service delivery.Monitor and address client satisfaction metrics such as Net Promoter Score (NPS), acting on feedback to enhance experiences.Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their challenges and providing tailored solutions that add value.Strategic Leadership:Contribute to the overall strategic planning of the advisory function by identifying areas for growth and innovation. Collaborate with senior leaders to align account development goals with broader business objectives.Provide thought leadership to clients and internal teams, staying ahead of industry trends and positioning the business as a market leader.Team Leadership and Development:Build and lead a high-performing account development team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to team members, ensuring continuous improvement in skills and performance.Create a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and cross-functional teamwork.Operational Excellence:Implement efficient account management processes and tools to track performance, manage opportunities, and maintain clear communication.Oversee contract negotiations and pricing discussions, ensuring portability while delivering value to clients.Work closely with operations, delivery, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of client engagements.Your Experience Strong experience in account management, business development, or client services roles, ideally in professional services, consulting, or advisory.Proven track record of growing and managing large-scale accounts or portfolios, including revenue and portability targets.Experience of managing a pipeline of £20m+.Knowledge of the Creative industry is desirable but not essential.Experience leading and mentoring account management teams.Ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as delivery, marketing, and operations.Strong command of CRM systems and data analysis tools.Familiarity with pricing models, contract negotiations, and financial performance analysis.Experience in pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting on revenue performance.Visionary Leader: Able to inspire teams and clients with innovative approaches.Results-Oriented: Focused on achieving tangible business outcomes.Adaptable: Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.Empathetic: Understands client challenges and delivers solutions that address their needs.If you don't meet every single requirement, we'd still encourage you to apply.
