THE ROLEWe're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanic to lead our workshop operations.
As a key player in our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality repairs, optimising workshop efficiency, and developing a high-performance culture.Responsibilities: Oversee all repair and maintenance operations within the Hub.
Recruit, lead, coach, and develop a team of mechanics to achieve performance targets and deliver exceptional service.
Implement and maintain efficient workshop processes and procedures.
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the workshop environment.
Diagnose and repair a wide range of electric vehicles, including eBikes, e-mopeds, and cargo bikes.
Manage workshop inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and cost-effective operations.
Utilise advanced office and fleet management systems to optimise operations and reporting.
Requirements A minimum of 2 years experience in a Workshop Manager or Head Mechanic position within the automotive or bicycle repair industry, with a strong focus on electric vehicles, particularly e-bikes, e-mopeds, and cargo bikes.
High technical knowledge of bicycle and motorbike vehicle components, systems, and repair procedures, preferably with e-bikes, e-mopeds, and cargo bikes.
Proven ability to recruit, manage and develop a team of high-performing mechanics.
Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
Experience managing workshop budgets, including parts inventory, roster/labour costs, and equipment maintenance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal presentation.
Proficiency in advanced office software and fleet management systems.
A passion for electric vehicles, especially e-bikes, e-mopeds, and cargo bikes, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
