Teaching Assistant for Key Stage 2 Location: Barnsley Job Type: Full-Time Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience About the Role: Hays is recruiting on behalf of a reputable school in Barnsley for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 2 students.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a significant impact on students' learning and development.
Key Responsibilities: Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
Provide one-on-one support for students who require additional help.
Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
Prepare and organise teaching materials and resources.
Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and adapt activities to meet their needs.
Supervise students during break times and school trips.
Assist with the assessment and recording of students' progress.
Foster a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Requirements: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in Key Stage 2.
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
