Group Technical Accountant – 6-month FTC London Hybrid £92 000 annually 6-month FTC We have partnered with a FTSE listed business in their search for an immediate Group Technical Accountant.
The role is pivotal as the successful incumbent will be responsible for preparing high quality group financial information for both internal and external stakeholders.
This individual will be astute with group consolidation, year-end reporting, audit and statutory accounting.

Responsibilities: Prepare consolidated Group accounts in accordance with IFRS for the Annual and Half-Yearly Report.
Prepare UK subsidiary statutory accounts following FRS 102 and Companies Act, whilst also reviewing overseas subsidiaries' statutory accounts.
Liaise with external auditors to support year end audit and half year review Support the Group Financial Control team with technical accounting questions on group rolling forecast Provide assistance on IFRS 16 accounting and support the utilisation of the Group's lease management system.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IFRS, FRS 102, and UK Companies Act developments, assessing their impact upon the Group.
Offer ad-hoc technical accounting advice and support for the wider business, including delivering training to global finance teams.
Act as a system administrator for the Group's OneStream consolidation and planning systems, as well as the lease management system.
Provide or review the forecasts for certain areas, including share-based payments, leases and amortisation of acquired intangibles Assist with purchase price allocations for acquisitions and provide advice on accounting for Group reorganisations.
Support the preparation of Audit Committee papers and liaise with external auditors for year-end audits and half-year reviews.
Contribute to and conduct quality control reviews of the Group's Annual and Half-Yearly Report Qualifications and experience: Qualified ACA/ACCA Strong technical accounting knowledge – IFRS, FRS 102, UK GAAP Detailed working knowledge of IFRS 2, various valuation models and how to apply them to measuring share-based payment arrangements Previous Group Finance experience within a FTSE listed business Experience with SAP and OneStream - highly advantageous The client operates a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 3 days from home.
