Group Financial Controller

SF Executive are partnered with a privately owned, East Midlands based retail organisation that are seeking a Group Financial Controller.

As the Group Financial Controller, you will obtain the second most senior finance position within the organisation and as such you will display gravitas across your team, the senior leadership team, the board and wider external partners.
You will be responsible for overseeing the organisation's financial reporting activities and ensuring compliance with regulations for all regions.
Your primary duties will include oversight of all transactional records and preparation of management and statutory accounts.
This includes the ownership of the monthly management accounts, month end reporting, cash management and the annual audit.
You will also participate in financial projects and initiatives together with extensive work on corporation tax, the group's employee benefit trust and the financing of the group via both equity and debt.

The successful Group Financial Controller will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ ACMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years PQE.
You will be experienced as a number two and ideally have worked within retail/wholesale/branded or relatable sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to put themselves in poll position to become the CFOs successor.
This role is being offered on a hybrid working basis (3 days office based / 2 days working from home).
