A well-regarded secondary school in central Stoke is looking for a talented Humanities graduate to join their team as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from September 2024.

Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant Full-time, long-term position beginning September 2024 (lasting for the full academic year) Competitive weekly salary of up to £500 Open to graduates with a degree in History, Geography, or another Humanities-related subject The school is based in central Stoke with easy transport access Work with students aged 11-16, including those preparing for their GCSEs A great opportunity for anyone looking to become a teacher Previous experience in education is preferred but not required This school in Stoke places a strong emphasis on nurturing a passion for Humanities in all its students.
The role of Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant involves supporting students in their understanding of key historical and geographical concepts, helping them develop the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.
You'll be working alongside teaching staff and other support personnel, assisting students in the classroom, as well as offering one-on-one and small group support.
This role will allow you to help struggling students reach their full potential while also fostering their enthusiasm for History, Geography, and other Humanities subjects.
The position will offer a blend of practical and theoretical tasks, giving you a well-rounded experience while enhancing both your teaching skills and your students' educational journeys.
The school is eager to meet graduates with a passion for Humanities and a desire to pursue a teaching career.
This is a long-term role, running throughout the next academic year, and will start in September 2024.
