Graduate Design Engineer Full-Time, Permanent Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum We are now seeking a Graduate Design Engineer to join a well-established company specialising in material handling and heavy industry.
This role is ideal for a Design Engineering graduate with some work experience in design or engineering who is looking to kick-start their career with hands-on experience in the industrial sector.
As a Graduate Design Engineer, you will be part of an innovative team working on exciting projects involving structural steel, cranes, and large-scale industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities: * Assist in developing detailed 2D and 3D designs using SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software * Support the design of components and systems for material handling and heavy industry applications * Work with experienced engineers on stress analysis and design calculations * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet practical and manufacturable requirements * Help ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulations * Provide support for hydraulic, gearbox, and motor systems in collaboration with senior engineers * Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas to improve product quality and cost-efficiency Required Skills: * Basic proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar 3D CAD software) * A foundational understanding of hydraulics, gearboxes, and motors * Some experience or internship in industrial design or engineering is preferred * Familiarity with material properties and mechanical design principles * Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and adapt * Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to gain practical experience, develop technical skills, and work on impactful projects in the industrial sector.
