What does the role involve?
We are looking for enthusiastic, innovative, and data analytics minded GIS Graduates to join our GIS & Digital Advisory Service Team.
The role will involve supporting the delivery of a wide variety of diverse projects and contribute to Sweco's targets in Sustainability and Digital Transformation using geospatial technologies.
This will often involve working in close collaboration with specialists across multidisciplinary teams in transport, environment, energy and buildings to uncover data insights and deliver value to our clients.
Covering a range of activities including supporting designing and deploying ESRI based web solutions, data preparation, data management, data analytics and producing engaging data visualisations.
This is an opportunity for you to develop your career whilst influencing and contributing to the future of Sweco's ambitious digitalisation plans.
Typical Activities our graduates undertake are: Prepare mobile data collection packages for field workers using ArcGIS FieldMap and Survey123 and other ArcGIS Online mobile apps.
Support the maintenance and development of interactive web and associated mapping applications, using the ESRI stack.
Take responsibility for completing packages of work relating to geospatial data digitising, data management, analysis and map production.
Work with the wider team to source, prepare and analyse data to prepare graphics, metrics and input for reports and presentations.
Identify, support and implement opportunities for improving efficiency and providing innovative solutions.
Participate in knowledge sharing within the team and the wider Sweco business.
Work closely with GIS team members to improve our current use and deployment of GIS technology to raise quality and efficiencies, including the introduction of new technologies.
Maintain communication with the project team to ensure that GIS tasks meets the objectives and requirements.
Participate in the preparation/presentation of proposals/bids.
What do you need to apply?
We are seeking graduates who: Have a degree in a subject relevant to the role you're applying for.
Have less than 12 months relevant work experience (excluding placements).p Are confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
Are driven and solution orientated.
Can work in the UK with no restrictions.
This unfortunately means that we are unable to accept candidates who require sponsorship.
This is a permanent role, and we are looking for candidates who can grow and develop their careers with Sweco, we are therefore unable to accept applications from those on a graduate visa due to their time limits.
