Our client is looking for an experienced and reliable Civils Operative to join their team.
This role will involve carrying out civil works at various locations across the UK, supporting the installation and maintenance of garage equipment and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, construction, or related fields, and be comfortable working on a variety of projects in different environments.
Hours Standard 40 hours a week + overtime often 15 to 20 hours a week.
Wages £17 - £18 an hour subject qualifications and experience you will have the opportunity to top this up with overtime at time and a half, plus overnight expenses.

Key Responsibilities: Civil Works Execution: Carry out civil engineering tasks such as groundworks, excavation, concreting, foundation installation, drainage, and surface preparation for garage equipment installations.
Site Preparation: Prepare and level ground for installation of equipment, ensuring that all works are completed to required specifications and health & safety standards.
Maintenance & Repairs: Perform maintenance and repairs on existing civil works as required, ensuring high-quality standards and minimal downtime.
Equipment Installation Support: Assist the installation teams with any required civil works to support the setup of garage and workshop equipment.
Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations and procedures to ensure safe working practices on all sites.
Travel: Work at various customer sites across the UK, with potential for overnight stays depending on location and project needs.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other operatives, supervisors, and project managers to deliver projects on time and to specification.
Customer Interaction: Provide a professional and courteous service to clients, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Requirements: Proven experience in civil works, groundworks, or construction, ideally within the garage equipment, infrastructure, or similar sectors.
Competence in using civil engineering tools and machinery (e.g., excavators, dumpers, concrete mixers).
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in construction environments.
Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to adapt to various working conditions and challenges.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing tasks effectively and efficiently.
Full UK driving licence (essential), with the ability to travel across the UK for project work.
CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card or equivalent is desirable.
Flexibility and willingness to work away from home when required.
A positive, can-do attitude with strong attention to detail.
Desirable Qualifications/Skills: NVQ or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
First Aid training and other relevant certifications are advantageous.
