General Cover Teacher – Stockport (Immediate Start) Location: Stockport Position: General Cover Teacher Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary Salary: £120 - £150 per day (depending on experience) Do you enjoy variety and flexibility in your teaching career?
A school in Stockport is seeking an adaptable and reliable General Cover Teacher to step in and support across a range of subjects, ensuring that students remain on track in the absence of their regular teachers.
The Role: You will be covering a range of subjects across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, using pre-prepared lesson plans Managing classroom behaviour, ensuring students remain focused and engaged Delivering lessons in subjects outside of your specialism, with support from the school staff Providing feedback to teachers on students' performance, classroom behaviour, and any issues that arise Offering flexibility and adaptability, responding to the school's daily cover requirements About You: QTS or extensive experience working in a teaching capacity in UK schools Ability to manage a classroom, ensuring a positive learning environment Comfortable stepping into a range of subjects and classes Strong communication and organisational skills, with a calm and confident teaching style Willing to take on a variety of responsibilities and cover different subjects This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive school environment, offering variety and the chance to develop your teaching experience.
