Forensic/Disputes Partner: large UK advisory firm Employer Location London, City of London, England Salary Highly competitive package inc. options Closing date 12 Dec 2024 View more categoriesView less categories Sector Salary band , Hours Where will they be working You need to or to save a job.
Job Details Your new company Long-established and very well-regarded in its core field, my market-leading client has significant on-the-ground UK coverage and additionally drives an expanding international network.
Financial advisory work is primarily lawyer-led, with financial services being secondary referrers.
Expanding beyond their core business over the years into other specialisms such as valuations, corporate finance and property, this has also included some regional presence in forensics.
The firm is now ready to "power up" to a more holistic Forensic offering and as part of that have already secured both a new Head of Fraud & Risk (due to start Q1) and a mixed forensic practitioner in the north.
The next phase sees them looking to amplify their commercial disputes/Expert presence in London and the south.
Your new role The firm are now looking to engage with a Commercial Disputes/Expert Partner who would relish a "build" opportunity.
The brand is already warm in this space, but there is considerable "low-hanging fruit" and untapped opportunity to be derived from the network (which existing forensic partners have partly but not yet wholly capitalised on) and further critical mass will enable them to do so.
A national P&L for the service-line means there are no particular geographic restrictions and accreditation/reward is set up to recognise contribution in every sense - introduction, origination, delivery etc.
The firm will also then use its enhanced presence in Forensic to expand into other associated services - if you have ideas/strategies on "Forensic plus plus" these will be seriously considered.
What you'll need to succeed The firm can consider a first-promotion Partner through to seasoned/experienced.
This is expansion per se, and because more than one hire/acquisition will be made this is a rare chance to help shape the future of the functional leadership.
Partners should of course be UK based with an identifiable and portable practice therein.
Billings threshold for Partner is set competitively - if you're in a firm where the targets seem to get further & further out of reach, then I'm happy to share just how different it is here. What you'll get in return An ambitious firm which is looking to grow by 25% over the next 5 years and not just by acquisition.
No PE backing (I can share more about their ownership structure)A simple and transparent reward system (inc. options, LTIPs etc)With no audit/tax base = minimal conflictsA brand which is large enough in its core space to mean it's never "whitespace" to sell, yet small enough still in Forensic to be a genuine growth opportunityThe opportunity to meaningfully shape the function and develop it into associated services when ready
