JOB TITLE:              Flood Risk Officer Contract:                  Permanent Hours:                       37 – flexible and agile working Salary:                       £38,626 to £41,511 per annum Closing date:          1 December 2024 @ 23.59                   An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated person to lead in our role as Lead Local Flood Authority, driving flood risk management and drainage in Rutland.
You will be passionate about delivering our Flood Risk Management Strategy and will lead with the development and management of drainage improvement schemes.
You will be working closely with Highways and Planning officers to ensure future development meets requirements for sustainable drainage and delivers, where possible, natural flood management opportunities for the County.
You will have experience working in the flood risk management sector, ideally having had previous involvement in project management and delivery.    You will need to work closely with internal colleagues and external partner organisations to deliver actions and projects within our Flood Risk Management Strategy.
This means you will need to have practical knowledge of working and negotiating with stakeholders and the ability to build networks of contacts, maintaining effective relationships across a variety of organisations.
