Job Description What's involved with this role: Interim Fire Safety Manager - Building Safety Reference no: MCC 0009 70B2 / 1 Pay Rate: up to £296.00 per day PAYE depending on experience (tbc) 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours This opening assignment is for 4 months City: MANCHESTER Note: the pay rate is provisional only and the ad will be amended with the confirmed rate once received Hybrid working Key Receptibilities: Ensure the effective delivery of all fire safety works are completed to a high level of customer satisfaction, to a standard of legal compliance.
Providing assurance to the Head of Design & Delivery, Executive Management team and the relevant Corporate Board and the Housing Advisory Board on all fire safety compliance matters.
Support and advice on procurement of contractors for fire safety works, drafting work specifications and quality standards where needed.
Participate on tender of valuation and contractor selection as required.
Providing ongoing advice on the competency of contractors to undertake works and ensuring robust contract management of the selected contractors by monitoring quality of work to determine compliance with fire safety legislation and guidance.
Ensure fire risk assessments, inspections and audits across all stock, including residential premises, and workplaces are undertaken.
Develop and implement fire safety emergency plans and procedures for all residential and workplace premises.
Qualifications: Level 3 Award in Fire Safety Management Knowledge: Sound technical knowledge and experience; organised and methodical with a logical approach to building and fire safety.
Experience: Experience of practical application.
Skills & Abilities: Great IT skills who can produce reports and statistical data that provide good information that improves understanding.
