Job summary A new opportunity has arisen for a Financial Services Trainee to join East Sussex Healthcare Trust.
We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic individual who is willing to learn and support our finance function.The trainee position will have the opportunity to undertake a rotational programme taking them through placements within the core Financial Services functions: Accountancy Services;Capital;Accounts Receivable;Treasury;Accounts Payable;Financial Reporting.
The aim of the rotations is for the successful candidate to have the opportunity to develop the necessary skills and gain experience in all functions within a busy Financial Services environment.Our vision is for the successful candidate to obtain the skills and knowledge required to enable them to progress and apply for internal promotions.
Main duties of the job The Financial Services Trainee will demonstrate a keen desire to learn new processes as well as articulate new ideas and improvements during their rotational training programme.The successful candidate will have the option to further their studies by undertaking their Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) exams, we are therefore interested in individuals who have the ambition to enter into the world of finance.Additionally, we are looking for someone who works well as part of a team and is good at forming strong relationships with their co-workers.

Person Specification Skills Essential Ability to manage self and exhibit personal skills, including self-awareness, self management, and drive for improvement.
Highly numerical with strong excel and MS office skills, attention to detail and the ability to manipulate and interrogate financial data.
A good range of financial and other analytical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively, working within and outside of a team environment.
Ability to balance the requirement for periods of concentration with the need to deal with interruptions and a change in focus at short notice.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and non-verbal.
Good sense of logic and attention to detail.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Qualifications Essential Good GCSE results, minimum of 5 GCSE's including Mathematics and English Desirable Educated to A-level standard Studying AAT Evidence of financial accounting experience Experience Essential Experience of analysing and investigating financial data Desirable Experience of working in a financial services environment
