Financial Accountant (Part Qualified/Newly Qualified) Location: Canary Wharf (2 days in office) Salary: £52,000-£57,200 + benefits Purpose of Job The Financial Accountant will ensure the delivery of efficient and effective finance services by assisting with statutory accounting activities and ensuring the content, accuracy, and timeliness of financial accounts.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare statutory accounts for all subsidiaries, ensuring high-quality standards to streamline the audit process.
Support the preparation of financial statements in collaboration with senior finance leadership.
Produce and review monthly balance sheets for all entities, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with current reporting standards and regulations in accounting practices and records.
Provide training and guidance to the finance team on evolving standards and best practices.
Accurately complete VAT returns for the group and individual entities, meeting statutory deadlines and optimizing VAT recovery within legal frameworks.
Assist with internal and external audits, implementing recommendations to improve financial practices and controls.
Supervision of 2 Accounts Receivable Clerks What We're Looking For: Solid background in financial reporting and management accounting Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, SAGE, XERO, or similar systems).
Strong Excel skills, including advanced functions (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
Experience in multi-currency accounting and month-end processes.
Excellent communication skills with a proactive and analytical mindset.
Proven track record of process improvement and delivering results under deadlines.
