As a Finance Apprentice, you will work closely with the Finance Team to support a wide range of functions, including (but not limited to) Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Management Accounts, and Financial Reporting.
This diverse role provides a comprehensive introduction to finance operations, helping you build a strong foundation in various aspects of financial management while contributing to the smooth running of the organisation's financial processes.

What your typical day looks like: To assist the accountancy function in the production of statutory financial functions and financial information, liaise with staff within DHU Healthcare To assist in the processing of financial transactions, including payments and income, assisting in raising and posting sales invoices, posting purchase invoices, ensuring that documents are correctly completed, and that coding is accurate.
To assist the team in preparing and monitoring budgets for budget holders.
To make supervised general ledger transactional adjustments in order to update accounting entries and budgets.
To prepare reconciliations and to ensure that the financial ledger is maintained to produce final year end accounts.
Assist with providing general financial advice and guidance to staff in relation to financial transactions and controls.
Apply basic IT skills including the maintenance of computerised records.
Undertake general office duties as required.
To be a successful Finance Apprentice you'll need: Five GCSEs (or equivalent) including Math's and English at grade C/4 or higher required.
Two A-Levels or any equivalent qualification, preferably including Math's but other subjects considered.
Be committed to a career in accounting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills able to work with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
Approachable, friendly, and able to show a commitment to good customer service.
Good analytical skills & high attention detail.
Excellent IT skills.
Right to work in the UK.
