Family Time Worker - Staffordshire County Council Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? We are looking for someone to help our families spend time together where they are not able to live together safely.
Children and their families are the center of everything we do, and we're looking for people to join us who have the skills to encourage and help maintain positive relationships between children and parents. You will work with very vulnerable children and so we must ensure we maintain professional relationships whilst managing complex family needs and behaviors.
Staffordshire Council offers hybrid working, free parking, an open plan office environment, and a supportive team. Monthly supervision, team meetings, and access to training and support are provided. The office is based in Stafford town center, close to local shopping and amenities, co-located with all referring teams, making liaison with social workers more manageable.
Pay: £15.41 per hour
Location: Stafford, ST16
Hours: Full-Time, Mon-Fri, 9-5
Contract: 3 month contract with a view to be extended along with the possibility to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities: Supporting families to keep in touch and spend quality time together. Supporting parents to address areas of parenting through role modeling and advice. Preparing reports on family time that are used in court evidence. Driving to locations to support families to see each other (business use required). Recording family times and saving to young people's files. Maintaining own rotas for family time. Problem-solving within the team and flexibility to support others in the team. Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle. Evidence of sound basic education and accurate information recording.
