Job Description Facility Maintenance Technician Job DescriptionAn active role and supportive member of the factory facilities, you will be expected to work as an integral part of the Team, as required, by performing any necessary operations to help support and maintain the smooth operations of the business.
Factory workshop safety awareness is paramount and safety control measures to be followed at all times.Duties•Factory workshop Safety awareness essential•Maintain discipline to protect the safe working environment, and keep work areas clean and orderly.•Engage in improvement activities and contribute to lean management programmes•The ability to perceive problems as they develop and communicate effectively•To undertake other duties as reasonably requested by the Operational management teams in order to facilitate a first-class service•Use designated areas for storage of materials, tools and equipmentRequired knowledge, skills or experience•Good communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships with all teams, areas and levels of business both internally and externally•A positive approach to change•Strong interpersonal skills•A good knowledge in the use of both hand and electrical tools•The ability to proactively contribute, engaging the interest and participation of others•Excellent attention to detail•Willingness to learn, be motivated and enthusiastic•Able to demonstrate a real interest in engineering, maintenance, and overhaul activitiesDesirable but not essential skills or experience•NVQ level 2/3 in mechanical engineering, maintenance, or similar•Mig welding•Pneumatics•Performing Engineering Operations (PEO)Additional InformationLocation: Newton AycliffeHours of work: Mon-Thu am to , Friday Rate of Pay: £ – £ dependant on experience & qualifications This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Gem Partnership Ltd who are trading as a recruitment business.
