Facilities Engineer A high-tech manufacturer in Newport, who has recently received significant investment and are undergoing huge expansion, require a Facilities Engineer to join their growing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day facilities function, including external contractors. Responsibilities Management of sub contractors undertaking routine and reactive maintenance tasksDevelop project scope of works for factory tool installations, central facilities plant upgrades, and manufacturing construction projects.Creation of Permit to work forms.Validation of Risk and Method Statements.Creation of Scope of works for quotation/ tender processes.Budget and Expense management control and reporting.Ability to efficiently prioritise work schedules, minimising downtime, and maximising resources.Ability to confidently liaise with other support Departments and functions.Manage and control 'Facilities Work Request' (ad -Hoc facilities requests) process.Manage cross-functional teams to ensure priority conflicts are resolved effectively.Manage health and safety requirements, clearly demonstrating a 'Safe System of Work' in line with all Facilities Management activities. Skills/ Experience Required Time served apprenticeship with formal engineering/craft qualification (i.e.
NVQ/C&G/HNC in mechanical or electrical engineering)Experienced within a facilities management role – either hands off or a hands on engineer/technician who has experience managing sub contractors or projects (it's a hands off role)Good MS Office experienceIdeally you will have experience in a high tech manufacturing environmentNEBOSH would be advantageousCAD experience would be beneficial
